Tax Incentives for Cultural Heritage is the Right Choice

Jakarta Provincial Government's plan of freeing and reducing the imposition of urban and rural land and building tax (PBB P2) for the cultural heritages building type A, B and C, getting support from Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission C.

This policy is right. The council will support it

Jakarta DPRD Commission C Member, Ruslan Amsyari FS disclosed, the policy being matured by the city government is one of the most appropriate solution to develop the tourism industry in the capital.

"This policy is right. The council will support it," he expressed, Monday (7/17).

Similar statement also comes from another member of Jakarta DPRD Commission C, M Siahaan. He assessed, policy that will be taken has fulfilled the sense of justice.

"The building owners in the cultural reserve area have been liable for expensive tax payment, but they can't be used maximally due to the preservation of historic buildings. We support this policy to be realized," he uttered.

Previously, Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat outlined the plan to free the PBB P2 for cultural heritage buildings type A, as well as incentives for cultural buildings type B and C.

"The policy itself is still being finalized now," he closed.
